99% savings, WHAT???

Tonight I had the pleasure of going last minute Christmas shopping with my dad. On the way to the big city, I made him stop at Kroger so I could "run" in. A couple weeks ago I was overcharged 6.00 on Pepsi, so I wanted to go get my money back. They did give me a refund, very pleasantly, of 6.39. The only coupons I took in were my Cottonelle, and I had six.

7 4pks of Cottonelle 6.93
Sweet and Sour Sauce (needed for supper LAST night) 2.59
King Size candy bar (we needed chocolate in a bad way) 0.79

Coupons used
2 0.50 e-coupons from www.cellfire.com and www.shortcuts.com
6 0.50 Cottonelle coupons
1.50 in Catalinas from the overcharge shopping trip

Total OOP 0.23
Plus, I received another 1.00 Catalina from this trip! That's a 0.77 profit on my TP!

CVS Christmas Sale

CVS is running another big sale Sunday and Monday of this week only. It is very comparable to the Black Friday Sale they had over Thanksgiving. Last week I took a new prescription over and used a register coupon for a 25.00 gift card with any new or transferred prescription. The prescription cost 5.00. This is what I will use now instead of paying cash! I made time to go over today, and it was very worth my while! Here's the lowdown.

I had 25.98 in ECB's going in today.

The value of this stuff is nearly 93.00, and I walked out of the store with 38.94 in ECB's!!!!!!! Taking into consideration the OOP cost on my gift card, CVS paid me 10.32 to "buy" all of this stuff!!! Love it!

I'm Still Here, and Still Shopping!

I realize I haven't been posting much this month, and sorry to you if you have been checking in. I am going to try to do a better job keeping up with things after the holidays are over! I have been shopping, usually once a week, even though my couponing friends are all wimping out on me! Here are some of the free or really inexpensive things I have gotten over the last few weeks.

This week Chief is tripling coupons again! This sale goes through Wednesday December 24th. I plan on going back for more potatoes, which are on sale for 0.99. Chief does not give overage, but with the 0.35 coupons tripled the potatoes will be FREE again! I also plan on picking up Jif nuts at 2.50 per can and using a 1.00 coupon. This includes cashews, which my Grandpa loves!
Betty Crocker muffin mix, Betty Crocker frosting, and Swanson broth will also be very inexpensive with the right coupons. I am also going to check out more Frank's Red hot sauce! This is a very small list, but I am hoping to have the time to run through the store scouting out deals!
